CXBO.CA - Handmade Chocolates & Caramels by Brandon Olson

Chocolates and Confections are a definite art form with Brandon Olson & His partner Sarah Keenlyside. Their handcrafted candy jewels are stunning in every way, even the hand painted boxes they come in are works of art.

These are another great handmade gift idea. They are thoughtful, artful and DELICIOUS. When we approached Brandon about our Twelve Days of Christmas project on November 28th, he was able to ship within 48 hours anywhere in the GTA. Since then the demand has been so high that you can only buy in store. Good thing he's got a ton of great stores to choose from!

Brandon is a uber talented chef with boundless creativity and energy. He's a joy to work with and a delight to be around, needless to say the whole #FoodLove team were fast fans. Look for loads of exciting things from this dynamic chef is 2017.

Here's a bit more about Brandon and his partner Sarah Keenlynside.

Brandon Olsen, Chocolatier, Co-Owner

For chef Brandon Olsen, chocolatiering began as a hobby, which turned into an obsession and ultimately, a full-time career. In December 2015, Brandon launched Chocolates x Brandon Olsen (CXBO), together with fiancé Sarah Keenlyside and in June 2016, opened a small storefront on Toronto's College St..

Formerly chef de cuisine at two of Toronto’s top restaurants – Bar Isabel and The Black Hoof – and trained under chef Thomas Keller at Napa Valley's The French Laundry and Ad Hoc restaurants, Brandon approaches making chocolates the way he cooks, mixing up unique flavor combinations and playful presentation with skillful technique.

Sarah Keenlyside, Co-Owner

Sarah Keenlyside is a filmmaker and artist, best known for her recreation of iconic movie character Ferris Bueller’s bedroom at Toronto’s Gladstone Hotel. Since debuting in Toronto in January 2016, the installation has been staged in both Chicago and Niagara Falls and has welcomed over 7000 visitors.

Sarah’s passion for art and aesthetics is infused into every designed element of the CXBO brand – she oversees the packaging, marketing and distribution of our chocolates, and collaborates with Brandon on themes, flavours and designs for our chocolate collections.
