Jasmine’s dynamic personality, vision, commitment and dedication has put her at the forefront of Toronto’s Hospitality industry for over 20 years. Her greatest success is that she has been able to combine passion and commitment into a rewarding career. Her love of food, innate curiosity, and desire to learn inspired her to delve deep into this challenging industry.

 

Hospitality has allowed her to marry her love of food, elevated guest service, design and concept development. A devotion to her craft has helped Jasmine to cultivate relationships with a number of illustrious professionals, all of whom she has had the privilege of learning from while working side by side.

 

Jasmine played a pivotal role in the successful launch and management of Toronto landmarks: Lobby, The Drake Hotel, TIFF Bell Lightbox and NSC Gallery, just to name a few.

 

Her notable success at an early age, led Jasmine to receive a top 30 under 30 award in 2006, from the Ontario Hostelry Institute, which rewards some of the industry’s top performers.

 

In 2012, Jasmine began her first independent project, For The Love Of Food, a company born out of the revelation that music festivals and food culture were surging in popularity.  Jasmine worked closely with record label Arts & Crafts to develop their boutique festival – Field Trip. Gone were the days of bad draft beer and cardboard pizza. Today’s festival goer was hungry for more thoughtful, deeper culinary experiences, and Jasmine was up for the challenge.

 

Heading into their third season (now as a team of three) For the Love of Food has built an extensive resume of festivals past and present. From ‘Gentlemen of the Road’ in Simcoe County to ‘Taste of Taste’ at The Historic Fort York, festivals have become highly marketable experiences, destinations for food lovers and culture seekers alike. All carefully curated by Jasmine, her team, and the innovative creators they get to work for.

 

In the year ahead For The Love of Food will the continue to break new ground as they help to grow the amazing festivals they’ve become a part of, launch new ones, and develop Canada’s premier festival grounds, Burl’s Creek.
